At Heriz Music: Burlingame, 94010
Sean Kelly is an accomplished young flutist, recently having attained his Bachelors of Music in classical flute performance from San Francisco State University under the direction of Linda Lukas. Previously having been an instructor at the New World Music Academy, he has been making his transition back into the city to teach more up-and-coming local musicians. Sean has been very involved in a number of local ensembles, such as the Forest Hill Chamber Orchestra, and also participates as a sub for the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony and Awesome Orchestra Collective. He has also been involved in several extensive flute and orchestral seminars, such as the CSU Summer Arts Comprehensive flute seminar with Carol Wincenc and Eastern Music Festival under Les Roettges. Additionally, he has participated in numerous body mapping, Alexander Technique, and ear training courses, which he incorporates into his lessons wholeheartedly. It is at the core of his beliefs that, beyond everything, telling a story with musical material is the most effective way to demonstrate music for listeners and audience members of all calibers.
