Dennis Kong is from Hawaii.

He plays 4,5,6 electric fretted and fretless basses and Upright bass and has Associate Degree in Music from College of San Mateo.

He worked with the Blue Bear School of Music in San Francisco , California School of Music in Berkeley, College of San Mateo, Skyline College, and Heriz Music in Burlingame.

He has studied with :Kai Eckhardht -electric bass- (John McLaughlin, Billy Cobham), Glen Richmond- Upright bass (Mimi Fox, Bobby Hutcherson), Dave Belove- electric bass (Wayne Wallace, Tito Puente), Al Obedenski-(Circle Star, Benny Goodman).
